Lishe Endelevu is a four-year (Oct 2018-Sept2022) project that is aims at improving the Nutritional status of women of reproductive age, adolescents and under five children in Morogoro, Dodoma, Iringa and Rukwa regions.

Students are mentored by leading researchers and scientists in the field of public health from AAPH or from any of our collaborating institutions; Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH), Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), and Management and Development for Health (MDH).

A three (3) day short course on Implementation Science and Health Economic Evaluation, with particular applications focusing on HIV prevention and treatment. The courses were conducted by Prof Till Baernighausen and Prof Donna Spiegelman of Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Heaalth and Prof Phares Mujinja of Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences.

The AAPH seeks to serve as a leading regional public health training hub and center of excellence. AAPH leads training and education initiatives to seek the translation of scientific and health findings into practice. AAPH facilitates cutting-edge doctoral and post-doctoral level training of public health leaders in multidisciplinary fields.

ARISE is a Network for collaborative education and research activities in Africa established by Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH) in partnership with Africa Academy for Public Health (AAPH) and leading institutions/organizations across the African region. In June 2014, a foundational meeting was held in Boston, MA with all partners from education and research institutions in seven African countries i.e., Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda to discuss advancing coordinated and collaborative education and research activities in order to address critical gaps in population health. The meeting afforded the opportunity to establish a Network, which builds upon the numerous ongoing training and research activities among participating institutions - the Africa Research, Implementation Science and Education Network (ARISE Network).
